依舊鬧騰，依舊無聊，早期的卓別林還不具備一個對於故事的完整理念以及架構與故事基礎之上的明確主題，故事隨意性很大，**的發展缺乏內在的邏輯必然性而顯得鬆散拖沓，特別是建立於誤會之上的笑點不好笑的時候，這樣的片子就成了一場災難。早期卓氏，同樣裝束下兩個身份，流浪漢和中產，此片屬後者。
