这部真好！孩童视角的小镇生活、成长过程中对人情的视察，涵盖的内容很丰富也很黑暗；城乡有差异，但人性有相似之处，哪里都有冷漠的人和令人心碎的悲剧，哪里也都有善良的人和动人的故事。好喜欢Robinson带O'Brien看大象的那一段，**有爱。（看到这片里Robinson的慈父形象，再想想他现实生活里那个不成器的儿子……唉。）结尾可能有点小镇价值观，但考虑到Viola之前对Milwaukee生活相对浮于表面的描述，或许编剧不是要争论小镇与城市的优劣，而是强调感情的重要性：这个事例中，Viola恰好是在小镇里遇到了爱的人。不知是不是因为海斯法典的限制，Ingeborg Jensen这条线没有展开，她的遭遇讲得相当模糊。
