整部电影风格抑郁、压抑、沉闷，部分镜头非线性叙事的方法让人有种跳脱感，比起电影中描述的那个缠住苦命姐弟的无形怪物“噬魂魔”，我更愿意把它看做是抑郁症的具象化表现：**去世的姐姐以灵魂的形态指引和训练自闭在家的弟弟，去强健体魄，去锻炼身心，从而对抗恐怖的噬魂魔，从这种妖怪如影随形、无法消灭和诱导猎物自尽的特性可以看出，这是一种无法根治的精神疾病，或许因为遗传，从小就觊觎着他们姐弟。姐姐没有熬过去了断了自己，弟弟在**失败后选择和它共处，了却残生。
