在三菱一号看了他的展，也是初次接触Constable。很多风景画的纵深感都特别明显，很立体，像置身自然之中。光影变幻真实浪漫又富诗意，据说画家本人为画画还学习了气象学。

《干草车》那段出现的拼图小道具我很喜欢，好几幕康斯太勃尔的画和自然风景的切换也是赏心悦目的，特别喜欢索尔兹伯里大教堂那段，小哥坐在草地上谈画的镜头好帅呀。以前简略刻板的印象里透纳的自然景观是澎湃狂乱的、康斯太勃尔是日常淳朴的(就看过几张代表作)，但是看布莱顿链条码头这个同题创作，觉得之前的判断太过片面，Alastair的纪录片总是能给我带来新的东西。
